JWD International markets a unique line of well optimization tools for pumping oil wells.  Their products are easily installed on conventional pumping systems without major modifications to pumps or pumping units.

DCI Shock Absorber

The DCI Shock Absorber addresses issues with the sucker rod string such as rod parts and breaks.  The DCI Shock Absorber improves rod harmonics by adding a cushioning device between the polished rod clamp and the carrier bar.  The rubber discs in the shock absorber reduce the stress on the sucker rods which must stretch and compress with each cycle of the pumping unit.  Reducing these loads helps increase the life and efficiency of not only the sucker rods but also the pumping unit gearbox.  In some cases, the DCI Shock Absorber can allow the operator to increase the pumping speed to increase production without adding additional load to the system.  This tool can be field installed without the need for a service rig and requires no maintenance.
