The PA plunger ring is designed to use the well’s hydrostatic pressure to effectively expand the PA ring during the up stroke to provide the necessary seal required for good pump efficiency and the PA ring contracts during the down stroke allowing less resistance from the falling plunger.
DARCOVA Nylon® PA Rings
If your well conditions are less than extreme but you still want the long lasting, best-designed PA ring on the market, buy Darcova Nylon® PA rings. Our heat-stabilized Nylon®-based thermoplastic possesses many of the same outstanding qualities as Teflon®-based thermoplastic, but to a slightly lesser degree. Our Nylon®PA rings have a slightly lower recommended service temperature (up to 145º C).
Darcova XT pressure actuated (PA) plunger rings utilize a fluoropolymer resin for a combination of excellent abrasion, chemical resistance, toughness, and upper service temperature (200° C) performance.
Darcova XTC pressure actuated (PA) plunger rings utilize a filled fluoropolymer resin which offers additional creep resistance, Higher thermal capacities (260° C), and excellent wear properties.
